Mode of action:

PRIVADO interrupts the production of caroteniod in the plant. Therefore, since the plant does not have the necessary amount of chlorophyll for photosynthesis, excessive sunlight causes chlorophyll oxidation in the plant. Thus, it causes the death of sensitive weed species.

Application:
In maize crops

  • In the amount of 1.5-2 L/ha for controlling annual and perennial broadleaf and some narrow-leaved weeds
  • Effectively controls – Amaranth (Amaranthus retroflexus), mustard (Sinapsis arvensis), barnyard grass (Echinocloa crus-galli), wild sorghum from seeds (Sorghum halepense), grey foxtail (Setaria glauca), common pigweed (Chenopodium album), Theophrastus' abutilon (Abutilon teofrasti), common cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium), common jimsonweed (Datura strumarium)
  • Satisfactorily controls – field thistle (Cirsium arvense), wild sorghum from rhizomes (Sorghum halepense (r)).

Apply when maize is in the 2-8 leaf stage (BBCH scale stages 12-18), when narrow-leaved weeds are in the growth stage and broadleaf weeds are in the 2-6 leaf stage.

Maximum number of treatments per year on the same area: Once
Application method: Foliar, with tractor sprayers
No restrictions on crop rotation
In conditions of wet and cold weather on lighter soils, transient phytotoxicity may occur.

Mixing possibility and compatibility with other plant protection products: Can be mixed with other plant protection products, but compatibility must be checked before use.

Withholding period: Ensured by the time of application
