Mode of action:

REVENGE is rapidly absorbed into the weed leaves and is translocated through the xylem and phloem towards the meristematic zone. In this zone, Nicosulfuron inhibits acetolactate synthase(ALS), a key enzyme for branched-chain aminoacids synthesis, which results in cessation of cell division and plant growth. Following post-emergent application of REVENGE, treated weeds stop growing within a few hours and show gradual discoloration on the newly developed leaves. This is followed by leaf necrosis, desiccation and ultimate death of the plants. The visual symptoms appear within three to four days after treatment and the whole plants are normally killed within 20 to 25 days. Selectivity The selectivity of REVENGE is due to the capacity that the crop has to metabolize the herbicide and transform it into inactive metabolites.
Unlike other nicosulfuron-containing herbicides, REVENGE contains rapeseed oil, which makes the formulation less viscous, more stable, more resistant to rain washout, protects it from rancidity and makes it more effective by improving the adhesion of the product to weeds.

Application:

  • Dose: 1.5 L/ha.
  • Apply when weeds are in the 2–6 leaf stage, and maize is at BBCH 12–18 stage.
  • Water volume: 400 L/ha.
  • Maximum number of applications per year on the same area: 1.

Spectrum of activity:
Sensitive weeds:

  • Grass weeds: Johnsongrass (from rhizomes), various sedges, nutgrass, barnyardgrass, quackgrass, ryegrass, foxtail, wild oats, sorrel species.
  • Broadleaf weeds: Pigweed, aster species, shepherd’s purse, velvetleaf, wild beet, celandine, mustard, spurge, sowthistle, chickweed, chamomile, and volunteer sunflower.

Method of application:
Foliar application using standard ground spraying equipment.

Tank mixing and compatibility with other plant protection products:
According to the company's recommendation, REVENGE can be mixed with most products commonly used in plant protection. Due to the wide variety of formulations, it is recommended to perform a preliminary mixing test and assess the sensitivity of treated plants. DO NOT MIX with foliar fertilizers

Pre-harvest interval (PHI):
Ensured by the timing of application.

Re-entry interval (REI):
Two days (48 hours).

To avoid risks to human health and the environment, comply with the instructions for use
